Really bummed about this announcement. Parent company Perfect World has closed Runic Studios, the makers of the Torchlight series and Hob. I loved playing both Torchlight and Torchlight II. Was very much looking forward to what the studio had planned for that series. I would be surprised if Perfect World tries to keep the series going, but I have yet to see a series succeed as well without the original team. Not to say it isn’t possible, just not going to hold my breath on it.
